Alex started his automotive career as a way to pay for college. When he wasn't studying Mechanical Engineering and Economics at Rutgers University, he was supporting himself and his young family by working at a local repair shop in Elizabeth, NJ.

But after an internship in Engineering he decided it wasn't the career for him and went back to working on cars full-time. The knowledge he gained at Rutgers helped him in understanding today's modern cars, something that has served him to this day.

 

After several years of working and running other people's shops, he took the gamble and bought DTA Automotive in 2002. A couple years later he began giving back and volunteering in town and in 2007 he ran and was elected as a Councilman of Mount Olive Township. He is currently serving his third term and continues to give back.
